In this paper, I am demonstrating that I concur with Marchant’s suggestions in her article that the new dominion in Europe was driven by values integral to the ascent of dynamic patterns, for example, the Enlightenment. In their exchange dealings with China, the British accepted that unhindered commerce was a method of making riches for all countries. This would, thusly, lead to another world request that kept up harmony at all levels. The Chinese, then again, accepted that there was no chance to get in which exchange could make harmony for humanity since they had perceived how the Ming administration crumbled because of doctrinarism (Marchant 42). The mentalities of the British depended on Enlightenment since they accepted that both common plans and otherworldly changes could improve the human culture. They saw manners by which in reverse countries could access progress regardless of whether war was included. They attempted to apply this on China however since China had various perspectives, a war ejected. This was an ideological war that originated from contrasts in the conviction of the two countries in organized commerce. Britain’s contribution in new dominion as appeared in the manner in which it managed China depended on four standpoints. These viewpoints were the aftereffect of Enlightenment thoughts that had advanced over the previous century. The primary viewpoint was that God just helped those individuals who could plan something for improve their circumstance. The subsequent one was that both strict changes and mainstream plans set up in trade, science, instruction, and enactment were a way improving the societal position of mankind (Marchant 42). The third standpoint was that it was the obligation of those countries that had just experienced illumination to impart their plans to in reverse countries, for example, China to support them
